The well known Ridley turtle can
be spotted at Bhitarkanika(220 km) and there is the Project
Tiger reserve of Simlipal(380 km). The Crafts village of
Raghurajpur is just 15 kms away and you could see the
"appliqué" artists at work in Pipli(36km).Or just hang around
at the pristine beaches at Chandipur(290km) or Gopalpur(180
km). Your trip would be incomplete without seeing the
stupendous Sun temple at Konark(a mere 30 km). You can also
see the Gotipua dance of Puri(in which young boys dress as
girls)or see the well known sand artists at work on the
beaches of Puri. These are a few places mentioned almost at
random...there are just too many other things to do and you
could go off the beaten path and discover many more wonders in
this blessed land...the soul of India.
